THE DIGITAL STOCK LIBRARY
There are currently 42 titles available in the Digital Stock collection. Each disc contains 100 superb, professional photographs relating to a specific subject category. And a color contact sheet is included with each disc showing all 100 photographs on the disc, so you can find the right image quickly and easily. All discs are Macintosh, PC, and Unix compatible.

IMAGE QUALITY
Every Digital Stock disc is carefully scanned at the highest resolution on a state-of-the-art drum scanner. Each image is stored on the disc in 5 sizes ranging from 72K to 24MB. Every image will produce stunning, full page CMYK separations at 150 lines per inch. And free color management software provided on our Catalog Disc, guarantees accurate color fidelity. These color management profiles, developed by Eastman Kodak, automatically bring you a consistent method for making superb color separations.
COLOR MANAGEMENT
Color management is a very important issue when working with images on your computer. You want the colors to be accurate whether you are in RGB or CMYK mode and you want them to look good on the monitor and in print. Digital Stock is the only image provider that brings you great color management software that does just this. The software, located on our Catalog Disc, works automatically with image editing programs like Photoshop and page layout programs like PageMaker 6.0. By using this software to open your images you can achieve great color no matter where your images will appear – on a dye-sub print, on a computer monitor, or on a four color press using different paper stocks.
The Kodak Color Management System (KCMS) has become the standard of color management systems and is built into many image editing and page layout programs. We feel so strongly about using color management that we have licensed several of the most valuable color management "Profiles" and included them on our Catalog Disc. We also had Kodak’s top color science engineers develop a custom "Digital Stock Profile" for use exclusively with our discs.
To give you an idea of how color management works and how useful it is, consider the following two examples. When opening one of our images, you specify that the image source is the Digital Stock scanner and the color destination is CMYK separations on a coated paper stock. This image will open with CMYK tonal values perfect for printing on coated paper. Another example would be if your images were going to be used in a presentation on a monitor. You could open again with Digital Stock as the source and this time use Adobe RGB as the destination. The images will contain RGB tonal values that are perfect for that use. No other image provider gives you this flexibility.
THE DIGITAL STOCK STARTER PAK
The Starter Pak allows you to preview the entire collection of images in print and on CD ROM. The Starter Pak contains a 140 page printed Catalog Book, plus a Catalog Disc which previews the collection at screen resolution, with ten sample high resolution images so you can see the quality first-hand. The Catalog Disc is keyword indexed so you can easily search for the image you need. Use the Catalog Disc for comping, and when ready to output a high resolution image, order the disc from our collection. The Catalog Book can be used as a reference manual for graphic designers looking for stock photo images, or to show images to clients.

LICENSE AGREEMENT
The Digital Stock license agreement states that by purchasing and owning a copy of a Digital Stock disc, you are licensed to use the photographs for printed materials such as advertisements, articles in newspapers and magazines, brochures, reports, and newsletters. Photographs can also be used in permitted Screen Resolution Media, as outlined in the Digital Stock License Agreement. License upgrades are available for different or more intensive uses.
